After a *large* number of 1% wipes we finally had the stars align and dominated Festergut’s HM. Everyone put in a ton of work on this one, definitely more of a challenge than we had first expected to get those last few percent with people DCing or dying to silly stuff. ‘Grats to everyone on the (near) flawless victory!

Marrowgar on Hard Mode was more challenging than expected. No, he wasn’t very hard, but I think we assumed he’d just sorta…fall over. It was interesting playing with Bone Spikes during the BOOOOOONE STOOOOOOOORM, but was mostly just frustrating trying to heal them through the damage. Grats on the kill my minions, go forth and bring me more kills!

So we’ve got a kickin’ realm forum congrats thread about this already (thanks by the way!) so probably not news, but Algalon is defeated, but the video is up and it includes the wonderful thing known as “nerdscreams” at the end. It’s a great video, there’s plenty of us sounding like idiots on vent and overall it’s just a good waste of 6 minutes. So check it out!

Thanks to everyone who participated in the kill, thanks again for all the awesome replies we got in game and on the forums, for the most part people have been nothing but positive and it’s been pretty great! Also a big congrats to DJ for finally replacing his horrible trinket with a Comet’s Trail, he might suck less now. If we ever let him DPS again. So good luck with that DJ! ha!

Finally I just want to say one more “Thanks” to everyone who showed up the event afterward, holy cow that was a lot of people!

Northrend Beasts was a pretty fun fight. I’ve always liked gear-checks and its requirement for DPS and tanking are pretty impressive. I’m a little disappointed that the fight was nerfed a bit before we could squeeze in the kill, but victory was ours nonetheless. Without further rambling, I give you… THE VIDEO
